About the Nautical Lighthouse Recycled Glass Wind Chime
In the foothills of northern Georgia, our family of glass artisans have been handcrafting chimes from recycled bottles since 1970. They have since expanded the business to include two of their children, creating a truly artistically-inclined family business! Over the decades, they have mastered the art of wind chime creation so that you may enjoy your chime for many years to come!
The Lighthouse Chime consists of 3 strands of reclaimed bottle segments sliced and melted down to form circular glass drops and beads. The segments reflect the natural colors of the glass in ocean-inspired shades of cobalt, green, and clear glass. The glass chime is suspended with resilient woven filament that does not decay and includes a metal hanger at the top. Atop the chime is a silhouette of a nautical lighthouse scene, laser cut from metal and powder-coated in black. Measures approximately 25 inches long overall.
The chime is designed for outdoors, but a sheltered location is recommended, where high winds and moving objects are at a minimum.
