About the Blackbird Motif 2-Bowl Serving Set
Terra cotta pottery has been a favorite in the kitchen for 10,000 years. Today, our potters still build timeless functional works from the durable clay with a contemporary style. Made in Oregon, each item is intricately painted by hand with underglazes of rich color and provided with a durable lead-free glaze before being fired multiple times to 2000 degrees for a strong, permanent finish.
The Blackbird motif features rich black and white colors hand-painted atop the natural red-russet color of the terra cotta clay. With its clean, glossy glaze, the design combines contemporary styling with old world charm. Heavy and substantial, the serving bowl set includes one 10.5" bowl and one 8" bowl, both versatile serving sizes for a variety of meals, sides, and snacks. The bowls are lead-free and safe for use in the dishwasher, microwave, and oven.
Note: Each bowl is made one-at-a-time. Due to the completely handmade nature of this item, slight variations in the bowl shape and pattern will occur.

Note: Terra Cotta pottery is safe for the oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, but should not be used with a direct flame or on a stove-top. As with all pottery, the tray should not be placed in a refrigerator when the surface is hot or in a stove/microwave when chilled. Always begin from room temperature or close to room temperature.
